The CBS channel 47 “news special” Utube video below was filmed at Sal’s studio in Mariposa, California.  It was a TV special to do with the building of  the sculptural Tenaya Lodge bar near Yosemite.   The finished product is featured on the cover of  his newest book, “The Woodwork and Sculpture of Sal Maccarone”.  The book, which was published in 2009, is a retrospective of his professional woodworking career from 1972 until the present.   At 200 pages, it categorizes his work into many of the different woodworking “disciplines” such as; Cabinetry, Furniture, Carved Hardwood Doors, Tables, Wood  Sculpture, complete Interior Spaces, and Sal Maccarone’s own unique and elegant  © Sequencing Kinetic Lobby Sculptures.  Please “click” on the category “buttons” below to view some great examples of this work.
