This quote sums up forty years in the business of making custom cabinets, furniture & sculptural pieces for hotels, theme parks, businesses, corporations, and private concerns all across the United States. Responsible for the design and construction of hundreds of commissioned pieces, and many restored historic buildings, Sal has had a very unique career which includes innovating and forerunning many artistic woodworking concepts and techniques. The CBS channel 47 “news special” Utube video below was filmed at Sal’s studio in Mariposa, California. It was a TV special to do with the building of the sculptural Tenaya Lodge bar near Yosemite. The finished product is featured on the cover of his newest book, “The Woodwork and Sculpture of Sal Maccarone”. The book, which was published in 2009, is a retrospective of his professional woodworking career from 1972 until the present. At 200 pages, it categorizes his work into many of the different woodworking “disciplines” such as; Cabinetry, Furniture, Carved Hardwood Doors, Tables, Wood Sculpture, complete Interior Spaces, and Sal Maccarone’s own unique and elegant © Sequencing Kinetic Lobby Sculptures.
